We are thrilled to announce our recent collaboration with Sky News on the compelling documentary “Searching for a Cure,” by Charline Bon Monsour. The documentary, which many may have seen already, is dedicated to shedding light on the challenges of endometriosis. It was an honour to be approached by Charline to contribute and help unite voices in the pursuit of raising awareness about this often-misunderstood condition.
In this ground breaking documentary, we had the privilege of inviting a group of individuals who have benefited from the support of our charity. Their personal stories served as a powerful testament to the impact of our initiatives and the resilience of those living with endometriosis.
One of the highlights of our involvement was the opportunity to collaborate with Charline, an exceptional Sky News reporter and a fellow endometriosis sufferer. Her dedication to this project played a pivotal role in capturing endometriosis and ensuring a comprehensive and empathetic portrayal.
Reflecting on the past, we acknowledge that endometriosis coverage has sometimes fallen short of conveying the complexity and severity of the condition. However, this collaboration has been a turning point, and certainly a moment of renewing our faith in the media’s ability to bring meaningful awareness to endometriosis.
Our founder and CEO, Carla Cressy, impassioned by personal experiences, also took part in sharing her journey to contribute to the documentary. It was her commitment that led to the initiation of our awareness campaign in 2018 and the establishment of The Endometriosis Foundation and the Endometriosis All-Party Parliamentary Group.
We are confident that this documentary will serve as a critical milestone in the collective effort to bring endometriosis into the spotlight.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sky News, Charline, and all those who shared their experiences, for joining us on this impactful journey towards understanding, compassion, and ultimately, a cure.
